The film was produced by the Sonmaz Mashall Cultural Relations Public Union with financial support from the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. "

At the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Islamic World, held in Doha last year, the city of Shusha was declared the “Cultural Capital of the Islamic World” for 2024. Taking this into account, the Sonmaz Mashall Cultural Relations Public Union organized Shusha Culture Days in June this year in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur. As part of the cultural days, an exhibition featuring works by Azerbaijani artists on the themes of Karabakh and Shusha was held at the Kuala Lumpur City Art Gallery. Additionally, a historical art- documentary film about the founding of Shusha was screened, and visitors were treated to samples of Shusha’s cuisine under the sounds of Karabakh music.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Azerbaijan highly appreciated these events dedicated to promoting the history of Shusha in their country. As a follow-up, the Embassy organized the presentation of the film, based on those events, in the lead-up to Azerbaijan's Victory Day celebrations.

During the presentation ceremony, extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Malaysia to Azerbaijan, Ahmad Kamrizamil Mohd Riza, spoke about the significance of these events.
