Project Description:
The students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages who led the event and gave detailed information to the event participants about the worldwide characteristics, universal feelings expressed in Nasimi’s poetry in English and Azerbaijani language.
The pearls of Nasimi’s poetry were recited by the students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages in both languages- Azerbaijani and English.
A video from the presentation ceremony of the music composed to the poet’s philosophical gazal “I cannot fit” by the American composer Andrew Celentano devoted to 650-year anniversary of the Azerbaijani poet and thinker İmadaddin Nasimi initiated by Sonmaz Mashal CRPU organized by The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the USA in collaboration with Washington International Piano Arts Council were demonstrated at the event.
Live connection was established with the American composer via Skype for him to share his impressions on the history of creation of the music.
Then the composed music was presented at the literary event.
The Aim of the Project
The aim of the project is to present contribution of our organization and partnering organizations to the 650-year anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet, thinker and philosopher Imadeddin Nasimi.
