Project Description:
The film produced within the framework of the project tells about the history of the establishment of the city of Shusha and unfolds the turbulent pages of that history. Attacks on Shusha in different periods, the destruction of the city as a result of these attacks are highlighted and analysed in the film.
The film refers to archival documents related to the history of the establishment of Shusha, as well as the research works of many famous Russian and English historians. Filming was done in Shusha, Agdam, Gabala, Gala State Reserve and Icherisheher.
In order to convey the truths of Shusha to the audience, acting and set scenes have widely been used.
Musallim Hasanov is the screenwriter of the film, Nasimi Mammadli is the production director, Ismayil Eyvazi is the cinematographer, Valeh Davudov is the production designer, and Sahin Hasanli is the costume designer.
The project's scientific advisor is Doctor of History, Professor Karim Shukurov.
The Aim of the Project
The production of a film about the history of the establishment of Shusha sheds light on one of the glorious pages of the history and culture of Azerbaijan. This film will serve as a visual resource for our youth about the history of the city of Shusha.
Presentation of simple historical facts, important events, and the role of historical figures during these events in the film will also serve to educate our society.
In addition, the next stage of the film's broadcast in foreign languages will inform foreigners about the history of our ancient city, and will make them be sure that Shusha is a real Azerbaijani city.
